February 26, 2008. Shanghai campus. -- A record-breaking number of participants - almost 500 - turned out for CEIBS' first Information Session of 2008, held today in the Petrochemical Auditorium.
In a vivid presentation which combined solid data with examples from daily life, CEIBS Vice President and Co-Dean Zhang Weijiong painted a picture of the significance of having a powerful brand. The lively interactive discussion also focused on how to successfully establish a brand.
Then MBA Programme Operations Director Yvonne Li outlined the programme and the progress to date for enrollment in 2008. She also provided information on the new EU-China BMT Scholarship which offers six full scholarships and six half scholarships per year for the next five years. The BMT Scholarships are just the latest such opportunities available for CEIBS students who can also benefit from a raft of school sponsored, corporate sponsored and government sponsored scholarships.
During the Information Session, McKinsey employee Candise Tu (MBA06), Philippines native Bryan Que and a number of other MBA 07 students shared their thoughts on issues such as: why they chose CEIBS, their study and overseas exchange experience, as well as their career development. During the "Group Counseling" session, participants' questions were answered. Those present had diverse background such as finance, consulting, communications, logistics, hygiene, etc. A large number of attendees traveled a long way to get to the Shanghai event, starting out from locations such as Wuxi, Nanjing or even Jinan, Shandong Province. The general feedback was that the Information Session was useful.
