January 30, 2008. - CEIBS President Zhu Xiaoming and Vice-President and Co-Dean Zhang Weijiong today graciously accepted congratulations, during a visit to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, on CEIBS ranking in the 2008 Financial Times global MBA survey. This year, the Financial Times ranked the CEIBS MBA Programme 11th worldwide for the second year in a row, and 1st in Asia for the fifth year running.
Shanghai Jiaotong University's Party Secretary Ma Dexiu and President Zhang Jie also recognized CEIBS' successful 2007 bid for the coveted Europe-China Business Management Training Project which will supply funding of Euro 17.7 million, mainly from the European Union and the Shanghai municipal government.
During their visit, CEIBS leaders congratulated Shanghai Jiao Tong University' s Antai College of Economics and Management for its 41st place ranking in this year's Financial Times survey. Both schools also discussed how to forge a closer cooperative relationship in providing top-quality management education in China. Shanghai Jiaotong University, one of China' s leading universities, is among CEIBS' joint venture partners.
The CEIBS leaders also took the opportunity to congratulate Secretary Ma Dexiu on her appointment as a National People's Congress (NPC) representative. CEIBS President Zhu is the Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
