January 28, 2008. Shanghai campus -- Professor Zhu Xiaoming, CEIBS President and Alumni Association President, today was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Upon hearing of the appointment, President Zhu received congratulations from the largest CEIBS Alumni Associations around the nation.
Representatives from the CEIBS Shanghai Alumni Branch issued the following statement: "As the Shanghai Alumni Association Chapter, we feel that President Zhu' s appointment is an honor for us and for all 6000 CEIBS alumni. The appointment of President Zhu in this new role will be sure to boost CEIBS into a new era of its development."
The CEIBS Beijing Alumni Association Chapter also issued words of congratulations, saying: "Although we are located in northern China, we are always very focused on the development of our mother school. Today, we are extremely pleased and proud to hear of the appointment of President Zhu Xiaoming in his new position. On behalf of all Beijing-based alumni, we express our congratulations to Zhu Xiaoming. We are confident that he will be successful in his new duties and we hope he will have more opportunities to come to our campus and supervise our work."
Finally, the CEIBS Shenzhen Alumni Association representatives stated: "Since President Zhu Xiaoming was appointed as CEIBS President, he has continuously shown his support for all CEIBS alumni. We wish to thank him for visiting the alumni groups and for providing his help to us. The news of his new appointment fills us with confidence in the future of CEIBS' development. We believe that, under the guidance of President Zhu, CEIBS is sure to excel in research, teaching quality, coursework, and expansion of the campuses.
