January 9, 2008. Shanghai campus -- China's rapid economic growth is providing Chinese businesswomen with a vast stage on which to showcase their talent potential. As a result, increasing ranks of female business leaders are gaining international recognition and playing a more prominent role in multinational corporations and the global economy.

These were the messages voiced during CEIBS latest participation in the CBN TV programme Brainstorm. The first half of the new programme will air on CBN on January 13, followed by a rebroadcast on Dragon TV on January 20. The second half of the programme will air on January 20 on CBN, then re-broadcast the following week on Dragon TV. All told, CEIBS was featured on Brainstorm a total of nine times during 2007.

The new episode of Brainstorm covers issues related to women's business leadership, inviting prominent male and female business leaders to exchange ideas on the changing role of Chinese businesswomen in the global economy and the new challenges they face.

Part One, The Growth of the Female CEO, discussed the recipes for success from some of China's best-known female CEOs, detailing their biggest accomplishments and covering their greatest challenges and how they overcame them. Part Two, The Role of Women in the Global Economy, brought together prominent female Chinese entrepreneurs to share their individual success strategies and to discuss how Chinese women today maximise their potential, especially as they increasingly compete in the international arena.

The new episode marked the third Brainstorm programme produced in collaboration with CEIBS during the past 12 months, created jointly between the school's Marketing and Communications Department and CBN Television Channel. Featured guests included:
