November 1, 2007. Shanghai campus -- CEIBS established a new Entrepreneurship Chair position today, in partnership with Chengwei Ventures.

During the signing ceremony, Chengwei Ventures founder and Managing Director Eric X. Li said the new partnership with CEIBS was the start of a "long-term focus" in which the two sides would collaborate on a range of activities supporting the school’s efforts to cultivate entrepreneurship in China. Mr. Li expressed confidence in CEIBS as a fertile ground for enhancing entrepreneurial skills among the next generation of Chinese business leaders. The Entrepreneurship Chair professor will promote research, create advanced teaching materials, develop case studies and organize seminars and workshops focused on the field of entrepreneurship.

The Chair holder will be CEIBS Executive President Pedro Nueno, a professor of Entrepreneurship and a co-founder of CEIBS. Mr. Li said he was proud to be associated with CEIBS, which he considers one of the most successful entrepreneurial projects he has witnessed in the past decade.
