August 16, 2007. Shanghai campus - The China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) was today ranked 9th in the Forbes magazine 2007 listing of the world's top non-U.S. two-year business school programs.


 
CEIBS' placement as a Top Ten international business school marks the first time in history for an Asian-based business school to enter the top tier rankings by a renowned US publication.

The Forbes rating is based primarily on the return on investment for students,  determined by calculating the average compensation earned five years after graduation minus tuition and the forgone salary during school attendance. This year, Forbes formulated its ranking based on data from CEIBS MBA students graduating in 2002.

Forbes also found CEIBS to be the best school surveyed in terms of "payback time" for tuition and expenses. CEIBS graduates reported reclaiming their expenses after just 2.5 years of working - the shortest time period among peer schools. In addition, CEIBS tied with London Business School for the highest GMAT scores among non U.S. two year programs, with an average of 680 points.

In April 2007, Forbes China released its 2007 ranking of the Most Valuable Business School in China. CEIBS has topped the Forbes China list of full-time MBA Programs in China for three consecutive years.

Meanwhile, in January 2007, Financial Times ranked CEIBS No. 11 worldwide in its ranking of global full-time MBA programs. Financial Times has rated the CEIBS MBA Program as No. 1 in Asia for the past four consecutive years. In addition, in December 2006, BusinessWeek China ranked CEIBS as the Best Business School in China based on employer appraisals.
