On the evening of July 1st, 2007, at the Yili Group Headquarter in Hohhot，Inner Mongolia, the graduation ceremony was held to celebrate the completion of the 14 month long CEIBS-Yili Executive Programme.
Mr. Pan Gang, Chairman & President of Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd., and Mr. Hobbs Liu, Assistant President and Director of the Executive Education Department of the China Europe International Business School attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Mr. Pan spoke of the importance of this programme to Yili and their executive development process. He also extended his sincere gratitude to CEIBS for the world-class courses delivered in this programme. As a corporate sponsor for the Beijing Olympics, Mr. Pan believed that this training will play an important role in the implementation of Yili’s Olympic Strategy and raise the effectiveness of its operations and the execution of its branding strategy. Mr. Pan said that all students in the programme were personally selected by him, and they are from the core talent pool in the company. Their attendance in this programme testifies of the Yili Group’s strong faith in the CEIBS programme design, teaching excellence and service quality.
Mr. Liu, Assistant President of CEIBS said that he appreciated the strong support from Mr. Pan and Yili’s Human Resources Department and was also deeply impressed by the participants’ eagerness to learn and participate.
The student representatives shared their learning experience. Yili Group granted the Excellent Student Certificate to five students for their outstanding performance. Mr. Pan and Mr. Liu also exchanged gifts on behalf of Yili and CEIBS.
After the ceremony, Mr. Pan hosted a dinner celebration for all the participants and guests. The students expressed their gratitude to CEIBS with the unique Mongolian folk flavours. The highlight of the evening came with Mr. Pan’s serenaded the audience. At the end of the event, Mr. Pan remarked that the cooperation between Yili and CEIBS will continue and help Yili achieve even greater success.
The programme, customised for the Yili Group by CEIBS Executive Education Department lasted fourteen months, covering topics including corporate strategy, and leadership. The programme was delivered in Hohhot, Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen with participants from the top management of Yili. The courses are closely linked to the reality of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and the challenges faced by Yili. The excellent professors from CEIBS was the key ingredient to the success of this programme.
