May 27, 2007. South China -- The China Europe International Business School toured South China this week to held a series of business learning and networking activities. Throughout the week, CEIBS brought local alumni and entrepreneurs the latest international management practices, business knowledge and practical experience.
More than 200 CEIBS alumni, 600 senior executives, and dozens of media representatives attended the weeklong South China Tour. Highlights included the CEIBS Mobile Alumni Classroom, the CEO Learning Union, the Management Forum presided by Professor Xu Xiaonian, a CFO Salon hosted by Professor Ding Yuan, and MBA/EMBA Course Consultations.

The CEO Learning Union
"Innovation of the China Supply Chain" was the theme of a forum organized by the CEO Learning Union in Shenzhen on May 24. The CEO Learning Union is an initiative launched by CEIBS and the University of Michigan Ross School of Business to foster best practice sharing and networking among participants.
The forum was chaired by IMD Business School Process Management Professor Carlos Cordon, who spoke on his latest research and introduced successful corporate case studies. Afterwards, executive attendees from domestic and multinational companies shared their experience, challenges and solutions. After attending the session, Air China Group President Wu Guangquan said the event "satisfied our desire to learn and offered new ideas for corporate management."
More than 20 CEOs attended the study and discussion including Li Ning Co. CEO Zhang Zhiyong and COO Guo Jianxin, and Pacific Heavy Industries Group Board Chairman and CEO Liang Xiaolei.

CEIBS Mobile Classroom
During the South China Tour, CEIBS also brought its classroom spirit directly to locally-based alumni. More than 150 CEIBS alumni from across China participated in the Mobile Classroom session in Shenzhen from May 23 to 25.
The Mobile Classroom provided a forum for CEIBS alumni from Shenzhen, Beijing, and Shanghai share practical experiences, build friendships, contribute to charity work, and have fun. The visiting alumni met with top-level executives in Shenzhen, attended company tours, and enjoyed parties, barge rides, and water sports.
The Charity Auction Cocktail Party showcased alumni commitment to social responsibility and assisting the unfortunate. All auction income will be donated to the CEIBS Fund and to the Jiangxi Poverty Relief Program.
