Since the beginning of Term 2, the CEIBS MBA International club and Movie club have been working together on the series activities: 'International Nights'. The series provided the information on specific countries, thus enriched the knowledge of the MBA students. On the other side, the activities also helped in enhancing the cultural understandings among students and deepening the friendship among them.
The series have brought the MBA students with the Korean Night on Nov.03, 2006, Spanish Night on Feb.04, 2007 and Irish Night on Mar.18, 2007. All three of the events received warm welcome from the students. The Italian Night, America Night and South Africa Night are under preparation and will be released soon. Normally, typical national cuisine, country presentation and classical movie are the main contents in each Night.

The recent Irish Night is a good example. The Irish MBA student Michael Mc Cannon, with the help of classmates and friends, prepared typical Irish food: Guinness Beef Stew. The Irish coffee was also well accepted by the attendants. Later on the students watched the Film 'the Wind That Shakes the Barley', which portraits the Irish War of Independence and the preceding Civil War. With the culture illustration from the classmate and the interesting movie, the remote country becomes vivid and approachable.
Diversity is one of the characteristics CEIBS MBA Programme owns. It is vividly embedded in the countries where students come from. About one third of MBA students are international. Every student is thus exposed to different cultures and has to learn how to mange the culture difference. The capability on cross-cultural management in turn adds the competitive advantages to CEIBS MBA students in their future careers.
