Should one pursue an MBA? Where to study MBA? To remain in China or go abroad? What can an MBA education offer? These might be some common questions for those of you who are considering an MBA education. How did the students make their choices? What life is really like when pursuing an MBA? How are future business leaders trained?
In August 2006, "Chase Dreams at CEIBS--Life at Asia's No. 1 MBA School", a book written by CEIBS MBA Class of 2004 students, was published by Shanghai People's Publishing House. Over 30 students of MBA 2004, after more than a year long process, jointly organized, planned and collaborate to make this book possible. "Chase Dreams at CEIBS" details the experiences of these young ideals during their 18-month of MBA study, covering every facet of their learning process, from application, classroom, professors, exchanges, extracurricular activities, and forums, to their employment, friendship and joys, all first-hand accounts honestly shared with the readers, which is also what is unique about this book. This is the first publication in China composed by MBA students offering their personal accounts. The book portrays the very aspects experienced by the up and coming generation in China today.
The authors wish to dedicate this book to their beloved school as a memorable gift. Passionate young people who have already embarked on their new journeys, but who also wanted to record a most enriching and fruitful experience, generously sharing with others their lessons learned, helping more people to understand MBA, understand CEIBS, thus, make the right choices in their future career paths. For these students, their MBA study was a very significant milestone in their lives, while the publication of this book is further evidence of these milestones. The authors wish to tell those who are still thinking, or about to apply to MBA programs, that there once was a group of students, who were just like them, they also underwent the same struggles and choices, who were just as equally talented and successful yet who also felt helpless at times, but who now wished to share their thoughts and feelings, as well as laughter and gains.
