On July 14th, Mr. Josep Borrell Fontelles, President of the European Parliament visited China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Prof. Liu Ji, Honorary President of CEIBS and members of the school's Management Committee had a brief talk with Mr. Borrell after showing him around the campus. Mr. Borrell congratulated on the school's achievements and also explained that the European Union will continue to support the development of CEIBS.

After the meeting, Mr. Borrell addressed the crowd with his speech titled "The EU, China and Globalisation: Common Challenges, Common Responses". Being the first European Parliament president making an official visit to China in 13 years, Mr. Borrell observed that China's economic growth was more rapid than he had anticipated.
