Recruiters
Thank your for your interest in Recruiting at CEIBS!
The Career Development Center (CDC) is dedicated to bridging companies with MBA graduates. We work closely with companies to fulfill their staffing needs. Recruiters and companies can also increase Brand Awareness among the student body.
Recruitment @ CEIBS
CEIBS Executive Forum is the most influential forum where business leaders and senior government officials all over the world are invited to give speeches on hot topics. Audience will be CEIBS MBA, EMBA students and alumni, and Executive Programs participants. The activity will be a good publicity for company in CEIBS community.
Campus Recruitment
Campus presentation is one of the most effective ways for company to create awareness among students and attract candidates.
Job Posting
Recruiters can post openings on CDC intranet to which all graduating students can get access.
Recruitment Fair
Based on recruitment needs, CDC may also host fairs in Shanghai, Beijing or Shenzhen. Companies in the host city or surrounding area can meet with students who are willing to develop career in that geographic area.
Summer Internship Program
MBA students look for an internship that will add depth to their resumes through hands-on experience and substantial contact with decision makers. Along with expanding their functional skills, many students are looking to use the internship as a way to build industry knowledge. Internships might involve preparing marketing plans, market valuation analysis, financial analysis/forecasting, process/systems improvement or projects co-created by you and the MBA intern(s).
Workshop
Workshop program is designed to enhance corporate clients' image among students while enriching MBA participants' job market information and job searching skills. Workshop topics range from industry overview, function knowledge to resume writing and interview skills.
Company Visit
Company visit is the best way for recruiters to present themselves and attract qualified candidates. Students will have a better understanding of the company's corporate culture and operations. Company visit can be arranged any time during the year.
Mock Interview/Role Play
Mock interviews and role play allow students to practice and improve their interview skills. At the same time, mock interviewers can take this opportunity to observe and identify qualified candidates.
If you want to deliver workshops, host company visit or conduct mock interviews, please contact your CDC consultant at CEIBS CDC:

Recruiters Guide for 2012 Summer Internship Program (for the MBA11 Class)
The CEIBS MBA program is an 18-month program, comprises of 6 terms starting from September and ending in February of the second year. In the summer of 2012, 197 students of the MBA11 Class will be available for a 7-week full-time internship either in China or overseas (from Jul. 09th to Aug. 24th, 2012) followed by 2-week summer break. However, your organization has the option of continuing the employment of your intern into the academic year through mutual agreement of both parties. Experience has shown that most successful summer internship programs are characterized by advance planning before the interviews.
What is an MBA internship?
MBA students look for an internship that will add depth to their resumes through hands-on experience and substantial contact with decision makers. Along with expanding their functional skills, many students are looking to use the internship as a way to build industry knowledge. Internships might involve preparing marketing plans, market valuation analysis, financial analysis/forecasting, process/systems improvement or projects co-created by you and the MBA intern(s).
The Value of the Internship Program to Your Organization
• Make immediate and productive contributions to your organization: CEIBS MBA students possess the advanced knowledge, skills, maturity and analytical abilities to work on a variety of duties, responsibilities and/or special projects with little supervision. CEIBS interns functioning in the role of trained professionals often bring unique and fresh perspectives that organizations can use to improve many everyday business practices.
• Short-term and cost-effective talent: Hiring a CEIBS MBA student to work on special projects will be significantly less expensive to organizations than hiring "consultants" with comparable levels of knowledge and skills.
• An effective, low-risk evaluation and training ground for prospective full-time hires: Organizations can use the internship as a probationary period to evaluate whether they would like to offer the MBA intern a full-time position upon completion of the internship. There is no better way to find out if a person is suitable for the job and the organization than employing the person for a "trial period" by way of an internship.
How to Participate in the Internship Program?
• Intern Selection:
o Employers interested in hiring our MBA students as interns should list an internship position(s) directly with the CDC by sending an e-mail and the Job Posting Request Form to cdc.ceibs@ceibs.edu.
o Once we have received the Job Posting Request Form, the intern opportunity will be posted to the students on our internal secured site.
o The access to the online CV books of the students will be open to the contact person of the hiring company listed on the Job Posting Request Form, per your request.
o The employer has the discretion to conduct interviews and select one or more students to work as an intern.
• Interviews:
o Interviews can be held on campus or at your work site. However, it is recommended that first interviews be held on campus to give your organization the advantage of seeing a wider cross-section of students.
• Company Presentations:
o Company presentations and information sessions can be arranged for you to introduce your organization to the students and to explain the nature of the internship offered. Offering an information session will improve your chances of getting the most qualified students on your interview schedule.

Responsibilities as an Internship Provider
In addition to the responsibility of supervising the interns, there are only a few requirements:
• The hiring company needs to finalize the intern offers with the selected candidate(s) by Jun, 30th.
• We recommend that students should be given sufficient time to respond to an offer. The hiring outcome
shall be confirmed to CDC before Jun. 30th.
• Hiring organization’s internship coordinator need to fill out an Employer Student Intern Evaluation to
evaluate the intern's performance and send it back to CDC by end of September.
• For overseas internship, please allow students ample time for visa and/or work permit application and processing.
