5. Why does the MBA Office prefer applicants to submit their applications as early as possible?

As the programme is highly competitive in nature, you are encouraged to apply in the 1st, 2nd rounds. Spaces offered in the 3rd round are likely to be limited. Moreover, applying early will also increase your chance in winning scholarship.

Screening quality applicants is very important in the admission process; therefore you are encouraged to complete your applications as soon as possible. It is more important to provide us information that can reflect your quality so that the Admission Committee can judge your application fairly.

6. If I earned a 3-year undergraduate diploma, am I eligible to apply to CEIBS?

There are a number of universities around the world that offer 3-year undergraduate programmes leading to bachelor degrees. What CEIBS requires is that you hold such a degree. If you have received a bachelor's degree upon completion of such an undergraduate programme, you are eligible to apply for our MBA programme.

7. How many applications do you receive for an average year?

The number of applications we received in the past varies year by year. On average, our admission ratio (i.e., the number of students admitted per applications received) over the past few years has been about 1: 4.

We evaluate applicants' work experience comprehensively, not only in terms of length of time in one's current position, but also in terms of career progression, contributions to the work environment, etc. While there is no particular work experience CEIBS prefers, we look for individuals who exhibit professional growth in their career path and leadership potential.

9. Does CEIBS require all applicants to have management experience?

No, it is not required, but is definitely valued. Among our enrolled students in 2008, around 85.5% have held positions as junior managers or higher. Though management experience is not a pre-requisite, key elements related to your management potential are evaluated in the interview.

10. Is there an age limit for applicants?

No. Our school's policy is that you are eligible to apply so long as you meet the minimum requirements.
