On the afternoon of September 26th, 2007, Yvonne Li, the director of MBA office announced the launch of Student Ambassador Program of 2007 in a crowded lecture room.
Student ambassadors and staff of the MBA office enjoyed a delicate afternoon tea party after a simple yet cordial certificate awarding ceremony and photograph signing. Students exchanged their visions and goals towards the Student Ambassadors Program in a comfortable atmosphere. All the newly appointed ambassadors feel honored to be in the program and announced "communication, encouragement and legacy" as their mottos. All the student ambassadors have pledged their commitment to perform their duties and to share their first-hand experiences in CEIBS to prospective students.
The selection of Class of 2007's Ambassadors was the most competitive ever. The number of applicants far exceeds the quota of student ambassadors. In order to maintain a balance in academic work and extra-curricular activities and also to allow more students to be involved in the program, the MBA office decided to divide the student ambassadors into 3 batches. There are 40 students from the class of 2007 in the first batch of ambassadors including 24 Chinese students and 16 international students. Comprising of diversified backgrounds, the first batch of ambassadors will be able to communicate more effectively with the applicants with similar backgrounds in 2008.
