Application Fee

Application Fee (Non-refundable)

  • Chinese (including Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau) applicant: RMB 1,000
  • Internationals applicant: USD 180
Tuition Fee

The tuition fee of the 18-month MBA programme for the 2012 intake is:

  • Chinese (including Taiwan, HK and Macau) participants : RMB336,000
  • International participants: USD56,800

For admitted applicants, a deposit of RMB30,000 (for Chinese candidates) or USD5,000 (for international candidates) is required for admitted applicants to confirm their acceptance of admission offer within 3-6 weeks after the official offer letter is released. The deposit will be counted as part of the tuition fee.
 
Students who have successfully received Student Loans are required to pay upon registration the part of the tuition not covered by the loan if there is any. Student without Student Loan are required to pay 70% of the whole tuition fee upon registration and the remaining 30% should be paid no later than 2 weeks before Day 1 of Term 4.

Tuition fee covers:

  • Tuition
  • Teaching materials
  • Use of Internet resources through the campus network
  • Access to the school's databases which open to MBA students
Scholarship

CEIBS provides scholarships to selected outstanding candidates. Most scholarships are merit-based and are awarded in two phases with the second phase of payment conditional on the performance in the first two academic terms.

Unless stated otherwise, all scholarships are available to both Chinese and international students.

Scholarships for first-year students

CEIBS offers merit-based scholarship to first-year students. It is awarded based on applicants' academic and professional achievements, personal accomplishments, interview performance and potential contributions to the MBA program. Admitted candidates will be automatically considered for this scholarship and there is no need for a separate application.

EU Scholarship

The EU Scholarships are designed to support full-time MBA students from less-developed regions of China. The EU Scholarship Selection Board will make the final decision of scholarship recipients with considerations of both applicant merit and need. Click here for more details. 

Liu Ji Education Fund

The Liu Ji Education Fund awards 2 half tuition scholarships each year to support students from mainland China. The fund was established in 2006 by Prof. Liu Ji, Honorary President of CEIBS.

Wu Jinglian Education Fund

The Wu Jinglian Education Fund awards 2 RMB80,000 scholarships each year to support students from mainland China with a demonstrated financial need. The fund was established in honor of Prof. Wu Jinglian, Bao Steel Chair Professor of Economics at CEIBS and senior research fellow at Development Research Centre of the State Council of P.R.C.

Bosch Scholarship

Bosch Group is a leading global supplier of technology and services.

Bosch Scholarship is designed to sponsor CEIBS MBA students with working experience in  primarily project management, engineering, controlling, sales or purchasing. Click here for more details.

Omnicom Scholarship

Omnicom Group is a strategic holding company that manages a portfolio of global market leaders.

Omnicom scholarship is designed to sponsor MBA students from Greater China Region and with working experience in marketing. One Omnicom Scholarship worth US$20,000 will be awarded on the basis of performance in written essays. Click here for more details.

 

Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarship


The Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarships range from RMB100,000 to RMB180,000 and aim to encourage international candidates to study in China. Please download application form here.

La Caixa and Casa Asia Scholarships

The La Caixa and Casa Asia Scholarships cover registration, tuition, travel, living and medical insurance expenses. The Scholarships encourage candidates from Spain to study MBA at CEIBS as part of a broad development of relations between Spain and China. The purpose is to promote the development of relations between Spain and China and to contribute to a better training of young executives.

Successful candidates will be awarded a scholarship comprises of  travel and living expenses,registration fee,tuition fee and medical insurance. Click here for more details.

Talentia Fellowship Program

TALENTIA Fellowship Program is an initiative by the Ministry for Innovation, Science and Enterprise in Andalusia, Spain, that provides postgraduate scholarships to student from Andalusia allowing them to study abord in selected institutions which is including CEIBS.

Selections for Talentia Fellowships are conducted in two phases: profile evaluation and personal interviews, conducted by the Talentia Selection and  Evaluation Committee. Scholarships for second-year students

Emerson Scholarship

Funded by Emerson, two Emerson Scholarships worth RMB20,000 are awarded to second-year students on the basis of performance in written essays and subsequent interviews. 

Baosteel Scholarship

Funded by Baosteel, this scholarship is available to second-year Chinese students who have demonstrated academic excellence.

EU-China BMT MBA Exchange Scholarship

EU-China BMT project awards 10 exchange scholarships every year to deserving CEIBS MBA students enrolled in a one semester international exchange at business schools in the EU. The scholarship covers a travel budget and per diem expenses while in Europe. It is awarded on the basis of demonstrated leadership and financial needs.

Housing Expense

Students can choose to live on or off campus. On CEIBS campus, there are four student dormitory buildings. Each room is equipped with telephone, air-conditioning, bathroom, computer network connection, and satellite TV hook-up.

Student Loans

Bank loans are available to mainland Chinese students in 27 major Chinese cities. Students meeting the criteria set by the bank can apply for a student loan of up to 80% of the tuition with a discounted interest rate. All loans with interest must be repaid within three years from the date of approval by the bank. For more details, please visit relevant webpage in Chinese.
