2.1 Who can borrow the library collections?

2.1.1 To borrow publications from the CEIBS Library you must show your CEIBS ID card which authorize the borrowing right.

 

2.1.2 CEIBS faculty, staff, MBA and EMBA participants, exchange students, EDP module programme participants, alumni borrower card holder are available to borrow books. Alumni, short term exchange student and staff of CEIBS' sponsors are welcome to use the non-restricted resources in the library.

 

2.2 Which collections can be borrowed?

 

2.2.1 All books may be borrowed except those specified for teaching courses and reference, such as textbooks, teaching materials, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, etc.

 

2.2.2 Journals are usually limited to be read in the library.

 

2.3 How many collections can be borrowed?

 

2.3.1 MBA, EMBA and EDP module programme participants, staff may borrow up to 8 items. Alumni borrower card holder may borrow up to 2 items.

 

2.3.2 Faculty may borrow up to 16 items.

 

2.4 How long can the collections be borrowed?

 

2.4.1 For MBA students, staff, faculty and alumni borrower card holder, the borrowing time is four weeks and the borrowed books can be renewed for another four weeks. Renewals are allowed only when no one has reserved the book.

 

2.4.2 For EMBA and EDP module programme participants, the borrowing time is eight weeks, no renewing is allowed.

 

2.5 What is the fine for overdue, damage or loss?

 

2.5.1 The charge for overdue books is RMB1.00 for each volume per day.

 

2.5.2 Those who lose, damage any items from the library collections will be fined five to ten times the original price according to the degree of the offence.

 

2.5.3 Those who steal and purposely damage the items will be further punished by the school authorities.

 

2.6 Who can use our electronic resource?

 

2.6.1 All electronic resource including e-books, e-journals, e-database and e-news are open to staff, faculty, MBA students, EMBA students, EDP module programme participants (CSP excluded), and alumni borrower card holders. Some of electronic resource also can be used off campus.

 

2.6.2 Alumni, exchange students and staff of CEIBS' sponsors can only use e-resource within the library.
