Professor Wu Jinglian Establishes " Wu Jinglian Academic Fund " in CEIBS

September 17, 2007. Shanghai campus - Renowned Chinese economist and CEIBS Professor of Economics Wu Jinglian today announced the establishment of the " Wu Jinglian Academic Fund ". Offered via CEIBS, the Fund will be used to promote China's management education, strengthening academic research and fostering talent development.
Administered by the CEIBS Education Development Foundation and managed by the Secretariat of the Foundation, the Fund will serve two purposes: 1) to provide financial support for excellent MBA candidates at CEIBS; and 2) to subsidize the development of an academic research team at CEIBS. The Fund accepts both personal and corporate donations.
Prof. Wu Jinglian is the CIEBS Bao Steel Chair Professor of Economics. Prof. Wu has served as a member of the school's Academic Committee since its founding in 1994 and began teaching at the school in 1996. He is also member of the Development Research Centre of the State Council, standing member of the National Committee of the CPPCC, and professor of the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. In September 2005, Prof. Wu was elected as executive member of the International Economic Association for the current session (2005-2008).
