SHORT BIO
 

Dr. Mike Thompson is based at CEIBS as Visiting Professor of Responsible Leadership working with the Euro China Centre for Leadership and Responsibility. Dr Thompson’s research and teaching focuses on sustainability in corporate and brand strategy, management ethics and wisdom-based leadership. Since 2004, he has been on the steering committee of the European SPES Forum based at the University of Leuven, Belgium which coordinates conferences, workshops and research into the nature of spirituality in economic, social and business life. Dr Thompson has published in the fields of ethical branding and spirituality and management and has has recently co-edited Leadership, Spirituality and the Common Good: East and West Approaches with Professor HC de Bettignies (Antwerp: Garant, 2010).

Dr Thompson is also a frequent speaker at Business Conferences and Business Schools on the economic case for sustainability in brand strategy based on his work with The Good Brand Works, London and he has also written on ethical marketing: “Marketing Virtue” in Business Ethics: A European Review, October 2002. He is currently on the editorial advisory board of Corporate Governance, the international journal of business in society.

Dr Thompson is CEO of GoodBrand, an international sustainable enterprise consultancy with multinational clients. He is also a director of The Hub Kings Cross, London, a serviced office and members network for social entrepreneurs and one of 14 Hubs in the world and Chairman of AddVenture, a Romanian social enterprise NGO.
