Since 1989, Professor James has been designing and delivering training courses on financial management and investment planning issues. These include the workings of the stock exchange and courses on financial instruments for analysts and managers based in the United Kingdom, the United States of America and throughout Europe. He also specialises in training courses on financial and strategic planning issues, for which his clients include SmithKline Beecham, Cable and Wireless Plc, Bunzl Plc and Thermo Inc. In Asia, Professor James has trained for the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore and is a visiting professor of CEIBS in Shanghai.

Professor James is a well-known training consultant with more than ten years training experience in the areas of financial analysis and management. He is the founder and managing director of a large training organisation whose clients include major financial institutions such as Rothschild Bank AG, Lazard Brothers & Co. Ltd. and Salomon Smith Barney International Ltd. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and a Registered Representative of the London Stock Exchange. From 1982 to 1987, Professor James worked in audit and consultancy for Arthur Andersen’s London and Geneva offices. He then spent two years with Citicorp Scrimegour Vickers working in UK Equities sales to corporate clients in France, Switzerland and Italy.
