TEACHING INTERESTS
 
Carlos Cord¨Žn is Professor of Operations Management at IMD. His areas of special interest are supply and demand chain management, manufacturing management, process management and outsourcing. Additionally, his interests include evolutionary strategies, speed based competition and project management.

He is currently developing cases and research in the following areas: innovation through fast supply chains, outsourcing of HR, the role of the Chief Operations Officer and management of customer-supplier dyads.
 
 
 
PUBLICATIONS
 

Professor Cord¨Žn is the author of numerous articles and case studies in these fields. He has won in the last six years five prizes for his cases about supply chain management, outsourcing and process management.

 
 
 
CORPORATE EXPERIENCE
 

Prior to the completion of his schooling, Professor Cord¨Žn held management positions in industry. He was manager in the manufacturing and distribution consulting group of Accenture. Later, he joined Grupo Español General Cable (now a subsidiary of BICC) as the MIS Manager.

Professor Cord¨Žn is a consultant to multinational companies in the areas of supply chain management, outsourcing and management education. He has designed and directed numerous executive development programmes. He works as a consultant to companies in the electronics, food, chemical, pharmaceutical, car and other manufacturing industries.
