Professor Titman is a Professor of Finance Department at the Graduate School of Business, The University of Texas at Austin. In addition to UT Austin, Dr. Titman has taught at the University of California, Los Angeles; Hong Kong University of Science & Technology; Boston College; and the University of British Columbia. He has a reputation for his research on finance and real estate topics, as well as corporate governance. His research focuses on the Banking, Capital Markets, Energy and Investment Banking industries.

Professor Titman has authored articles on urban land development, valuation of commercial mortgages, and real estate investment trusts.
