Dr. Dongsheng Zhou is Professor of Marketing at CEIBS. He served previously on the Faculty of Business at City University of Hong Kong and had taught marketing courses at Peking University and Shanghai Jiao-tong University. Before his academic career, he was Director of Marketing Research for a large state-owned trading firm in China. Dr. Zhou received his Ph.D. from Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada. His bachelor's degree was from the University of Science & Technology of China (USTC), China.

Dr. Zhou's research focuses on marketing strategies, marketing modeling, MNE strategies in China and China's private enterprises. Dr. Zhou has been a Principle Investigator on a number of research projects in Hong Kong and the Mainland China. His research has been published in International Business Review, International Marketing Review, Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Global Marketing, and Journal of International Economics, among others. He has also conducted consulting work for several firms from Hong Kong and the Mainland China, in the areas of advertising, soft drink, and telecommunications.
