Dr. Katherine R. Xin is Professor of Management at CEIBS; she holds the CEIBS Michelin Chair in Leadership and Human Resource Management. Dr. Xin served previously on the faculties of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the University of Southern California, USA, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and University College Dublin, Ireland. Before her academic career, she was Marketing Director for a high-temperature rubber manufacturing company in the US.
Dr. Xin received her PhD from the University of California, Irvine. She also holds an MA in applied linguistics and an MBA. Her publications have appeared in the Academy of Management Journal, the Administrative Science Quarterly, the Journals of Management, the Strategic Management Journal, the Journal of World Business, and Leadership Quarterly. Dr. Xin's research and consulting focus on leadership, international joint venture management, and strategic human resource management. She is a member of the Editorial Boards of the Academy of Management Journal and Leadership Quarterly. Dr. Xin is the Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Business Review (China).
