Zhixing Xiao is Assistant Professor of Management at CEIBS, deputy director of the Entrepreneurship Center, and Visiting Research Fellow at the National Development Research Center. Before his academic career, he worked for Nokia (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and China National Technical Import & Export Corporation. He is a founding member of the International Association of Chinese Management Research (IACMR), and also a member of Academy of Management and Academy of International Business. He is also responsible for the development of Henry Mintzberg's International Masters in Practising Management (IMPM) in China. Prof. Xiao directs the Advancement Management Program (AMP) and Management Development Program (MDP) at CEIBS.
Prof. Zhixing Xiao received his Ph.D. degree in Organizational Behavior from INSEAD, France. He was awarded the Outstanding Overseas Student Prize from China Scholarship Foundation. He conducts research on social capital, social networks, comparative management and social cognition issues. His research is published in Administrative Science Quarterly, Management and Organization Review, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, etc. Professor Xiao is a member of the editorial board of European Management Review. He is an academic advisor and column-writer for CEO & CIO, a leading business magazine in China. He is the author of four books: On Management in the East and West (One of the "Ten Most Valuable Business Books" of 2004 by Value magazine), Why Chinese Cannot Organize Themselves (2006 Book of the Year in Management by joyo.com, an Amazon company), Notes on Confucius Analects, and Book Management and Street Management.
