Prof. Howard Ward has been working in China since 1984; on a part-time basis until 1997 and on a full-time basis with CEIBS for 5 years until 2003. Currently, he is dedicated to the teaching and development of Executive Education Programmes. He has been specifically responsible for the development of Company Specific Programmes (CSP). In this capacity he is responsible for developing "Partnership Relationships" with key accounts. He works with companies to identify the most appropriate solutions to meet their specific needs. These solutions will include single module programmes, multi-modular programmes and consultative training. These customers include, for FIEs: Nestle, Emerson, Eli Lilly, Aventis, BAT, TotalFinaElf, Siemens, Kodak, L'Oreal, Caterpillar; for SOEs: Ping An, Guangming, Jiangnan Shipyards, Dongsheng Oil, CNOOC, Shanghai Stock Exchange and for Private: Hua Wei, BBK, Kingdee, Netease.

Prior to joining CEIBS, Professor Ward was a member of faculty at Manchester Business School, England and is currently Visiting Professor at business schools in Spain, France and Italy. Earlier in his career, Professor Ward worked for Michelin Tyre Company in France, England and Northern Ireland. He has practical experience in both the Commercial and HR Departments; his last position was HR Manager at the Ballymena Factory in Northern Ireland.
