The CEIBS research Centre for Globalization of Chinese Companies (CGCC) is seeking applications for a position of a Research Fellow commencing in January or July 2018 or sooner.

Established in 2013, the Centre is located at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Shanghai, China. It is a consortium of faculty members from different academic disciplines at CEIBS, sponsored by Chinese companies that have global operations or are growing global business. Serving as a platform that integrates the academics, the industries, and the policy makers, the Centre is becoming a think tank on the issues of globalization of Chinese companies in China.

The qualified candidate appointed to the Research Fellow position for a two to three-year term is expected to work closely but independently with CEIBS Faculty to design and implement research projects relevant to the CGCC’s mission. The expected outputs are academic publications, cases, books and white papers.  Academic papers are targeted at top academic journals (SMJ, JIBS, AMJ, etc.), as well as leading journals for practitioners (HBR, SMR, CMR, etc.). Some complementary teaching opportunities may be provided to candidates with previous teaching experience in executive-level programs.

Qualification:

  • Recently completed Ph.D. in Business Administration (International Business, Management, Marketing, Organizational Behavior, & Strategy).
  • English language writing excellence is essential.
  • Teaching experience not required.
  • Knowledge of Mandarin useful, but not necessary.
