With the fast-paced changes in the Chinese business environment, leaders need to anticipate problems, make innovative decisions, and create stronger commitment. This is what Stephen Covey calls "being proactive" in his famous book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. A proactive leader is able to make decisions with personal initiative, shows an adequate degree of assertiveness, takes calculated risks with organisational resources, and empowers direct reports to become proactive contributors to the organisation. Exercising the appropriate level of proactivity is key for success at both individual and organisational levels. Creating a proactive organisation requires challenging and meaningful goals, together with an environment of trust and cooperation, which implies a paradoxical blend of personal humility and professional will.

The objective of this programme is to equip participants with the tools to understand their own self proactive behaviour and the techniques to develop proactive employees and organisations, especially in contexts of uncertainty and growth.
