Issue Highlight: Senior Management Development

 

China’s rapid economic development and acceleration of the globalisation trend have created a welcoming environment of growth for companies in China. Whether they are multinational companies establishing a foothold in China or Chinese enterprises marching onto the world stage, they face a complex and rapidly changing business environment.

CEO Learning Consortium Held its CEO Forum

The CEO Learning Consortium held its CEO Forum on the CEIBS Shanghai campus today, on the topic of "Marketing Innovations in China and Building a Global Brand." The forum featured Mr. Stan Shih, founder of Acer Inc. -- the world's fourth largest IT vendor -- and CEIBS Professor of Marketing and Strategy Willem Burgers, who also serves as Bayer HealthCare Chair in Strategy. A total of 27 CEOs and senior executives from multinational and Chinese companies took part in this intensive one-day learning event.

Scholars & Entrepreneurs Gather at CEIBS AMP Salon to Brainstorm the Future of China's Manufacturing Industry

On the afternoon of Mar. 31st, forty-five entrepreneurs from various industries in Guangdong Province gathered at the CEIBS AMP Salon held in the Novotel Bauhinia Shenzhen to discuss, together with CEIBS Professor Xiao Zhixing, Professor of Management and the Programme Director for Advancement Management Programme (AMP), the challenges and opportunities that China's enterprises are currently facing.   Learn more >>

 

CEIBS Kicked Off the Second Global CEO Programme Jointly with HBS and IESE Business School

On March 23rd, the Second Global CEO Programme completed its first module on China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) campus. Dr. Jay O. Light, Dean of Harvard Business School Visits CEIBS

On the morning of March 20th, Dr. Jay O. Light, Dean of the Harvard Business School visited China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). This was Dr. Light's first visit to CEIBS. He was warmly welcomed by the school's Management Committee including Prof. Pedro Nueno, Executive President; Dr. Zhu Xiaoming, President; Prof. Rolf Cremer, Dean and Vice President; and Prof. Zhang Weijiong, Vice President and Co-Dean.   Learn more >>

 

"2007 DIMP Day - New Year's Party" Held in Beijing
Alumni of the CEIBS-Michigan Ross School of Business Joint Diploma in Management Programme (DIMP) gathered on March 3, the eve of the Chinese Lantern Festival, in Beijing for the "2007 DIMP Day - New Year's Party". The event was successfully held in Tongzeyuan Restaurant in Zhongguancun, Beijing where more than 30 alumni of both 2005 and 2006 DIMP Programmes gathered to get reacquainted and share the joys of the Lantern Festival.

CEIBS Executive Forum on Modern Economy and Business Management Held in Qingdao
On March 31, 2007, the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) held a forum entitled "Modern Economy and Business Management from the Perspective of Culture." The event was organized in collaboration with the Qingdao Federation of Industry & Commerce, the Qingdao Youth Federation, the CEIBS' Qingdao Alumni Association, and the Private Enterprise Association's Qingdao Trade & Commerce Circulation Branch. Venturing Beyond Borders - and Win

Becoming multinational - many European companies have done it. So have American companies. Now Asian firms are beginning to set their business targets on lands far from their home countries too. Pushing frontiers, redefining limits of growth opportunities. From America to Asia - the drive and ambition to take their business across borders seem to be very much a universal aspiration. While the desire to become truly international is on the minds of many business leaders, how to operate successfully and profitably in different countries is a question an international company always asks itself too.

CEIBS and INSEAD have partnered to develop the Multinational Management programme, taught by outstanding faculty from both schools.
