CEIBS EMBA curriculum is rigorous along both the "hard" (analytical) and the "soft" (leadership) dimensions. Participants are also required to conduct a group research project that solves a real business problem. Leadership development is not an elective, but a fundamental dimension integrated into our entire curriculum. |

| Concentration on Solutions |
Compared with most business schools in China, the CEIBS EMBA programme focuses not only on management theories but also on practical solutions. In the CEIBS EMBA programme, traditional dissertations are not required; a group project with a purpose of solving real business problems is required instead. The group project, which normally lasts for 14 months, will be under the direction of faculties of different fields, and participants need to do an oral defense to get their degree. Some projects end up becomming companies' practical operations. Mr. Song Wenming, one of CEIBS EMBA students, won the top prize of a famous TV show by CCTV in 2006. His winning project was indeed developed from his CEIBS EMBA group project. |

| Concentration on Leadership |
Another feature of CEIBS EMBA programme is its concentration on the development of students' leadership skills. Every EMBA student is required to make a 360 degree survey in the opening residency module. Professors in organisational behaviour will then help them analyze the result of the survey, and make plans to develop their leadership abilities. In the exit residency module, students will be asked to draw a “Life Map” that represents major development stages of their lives, which is to help them understand their higher level of "success", "responsibility", and "happiness". |
