Copyright Statement of Electronic Resources 

The electronic resources purchased by China Europe International Business School Library (“CEIBS Library”) are only available to CEIBS faculty, staff, students, and other authorised users (“Users”). In order to protect the intellectual property rights of electronic resources, to maintain a good reputation for China Europe International Business School and to also guarantee the legal rights of all authorised users, the CEIBS library appeals to all users to abide by the regulations on intellectual property rights for electronic resources.

  1. Only approved Users may access the services of CEIBS library. Approved User account should not be transferred to others.
  2. Users should acknowledge and respect the copyright of the database supplier and the publisher. Authorised Users may search and download or otherwise retrieve data or content, for the purposes of personal or professional development. Users should not use data or content for commercial purposes or for the benefit of the Users’ external employer or other organisations.
  3. Users should not attempt to upload resources into their own file space or other electronic media.
  4. Users should not pass on any retrieved information to a user who is not authorised to use the resource, or republish the material in any form.
  5. Users are forbidden to maliciously download original literature data. The continuous, systematic and centralised downloading of CEIBS Library electronic resources is also forbidden. Users are not allowed to use downloading tools for bulk download.
  6. CEIBS Library can monitor Users’ usage of electronic resources. Librarians have the right to disable accounts that engage in excessive downloading of material.
  7. Available resources are only provided within the validity period. The validity period for using the electronic resources of CEIBS library is identical to the validity period of Users’ library cards. Librarians have the right to terminate expired Users’ accounts.
  8. CEIBS Library reserves the right to warn Users, terminate Users’ accounts and take legal action against Users who breach our policies. Users should bear economic responsibility arising from breaching the terms of this statement.
