In line with the vision of becoming a think tank for the development of Shanghai as an international financial centre, the CLFC has initiated the research projects of 'Historical Experience and Lessons from the Development of International Financial Centres', and  'Analysis on the Competitiveness of Developing Shanghai as an Assets Management Centre'. The CLFC has also taken the project of 'Analysis on the Yield Curve of Interest Rates in China and Its Impact on the Market of Financial Derivatives' granted by the Shanghai Municipal Financial Services Office. Meantime, the research on outsourcing services in finance is studying the feasibility of developing Shanghai as the centre of outsourcing services in finance and will make proposals on its implementation.
