Biography: Dr. Xie is general manager of Central Huijin Investment Corporation, Ltd. and supervisor of PhD students, Graduate School of the People’s Bank of China. He holds his MA in Economics from South Western University of Finance and Economics and PhD in Economics from Renmin University of China. Dr. Xie served in PBOC for many years as chief clerk of Currency Circulation Office of Comprehensive Planning Department, director of Saving Planning Office of Interests and Saving Management Department, deputy director of the Policy Research Office, director of Non-banking Financial Institution Department, governor of Hunan Branch, and director of Research Bureau. He won Sun Yefang Economics Prize twice and his publications include Choices of China's Financial System, Analysis on the Structure of China’s Financial Assets, Monetary Policy during Transition to Market Economy, Challenges to China’s Monetary Policy in New Century, Debate on Reform of China’s Agricultural Credit Cooperative System, etc.
