Biography: Dr. Wang is commissioner of Discipline Inspection of China Banking Regulatory Commission, advisor of Shanghai Finance Society, standing member of the International Economic Society of China, member of China Society for Finance and Banking, and adjunct professor of CEIBS and Graduate School of the People’s Bank of China. He holds both his master’s and doctor’s degree from South Western University of Finance and Economy. Dr. Wang was previously director of Banking Department of PBOC, deputy governor of Shanghai Branch of PBOC, assistant chairman of China Banking Regulatory Commission, and director of Shanghai Banking Regulatory Bureau. His research focus includes Financial Regulation, Exchange Rate, etc., with numerous publications including four monographs and dozens of articles.
