Biography: Mr. Li is deputy director and research fellow of the Development Research Centre of the State Council of the PRC, adjunct professor and supervisor of PhD students of five higher educational institutions including CEIBS and Graduate School of the People’s Bank of China, and professor of Taiwan Research Institute, Tsinghua University. He holds his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Nanjing Normal University and master’s degree in Economics from Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He was previously deputy director of Policy Research Office of Planning Commission of the State Council, director of Department of Policy and Regulations of National Economy and Trade Commission, vice chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission, director of Office of Securities Commission of the State Council and deputy director of Economic System Reform Office of the State Council. He received Sun Yefang Economics Prize in 1991, 1997 and 2001.
