How to Recruit a MBA Graduate at CEIBS
This year, our CDC offers you four major options to attract and hire our graduates for your organization. You can choose one or combine more options to make your recruitment successful at CEIBS. CDC will also be available to work individually with you, to find the most appropriate approach or to customize a recruiting option to meet your staffing requirements.
Option 1: Campus Presentations
A campus presentation at CEIBS is one of the most effective ways for a company to increase their employer branding amongst the CEIBS MBA graduating class. The key dates for campus presentations are as follows:
* CEIBS Sponsor Partners: from August 4th, 2008
* Other Companies: from September 1st, 2008
We highly encourage you to communicate your preferred campus presentation date/time with your assigned CDC Consultant well in advance.
Option 2: Job Postings
Recruiters can send job specifications to their CDC Consultant to post the job openings on the CDC intranet, which is only accessible to the current CEIBS MBA graduating class. CEIBS MBA graduating students can then apply directly through this job platform. The key dates for job postings are:
* CEIBS Sponsor Partners: from August 4th, 2008
* Other Companies: from September 1st, 2008
Option 3: Direct Contact
Recruiters can directly contact candidates who match their specific profiles and backgrounds by referring to the CEIBS MBA CV book and/or the CEIBS MBA on-line CV database. Please contact your CDC Consultant to receive a copy of the CV book and/or to learn how to access to the CEIBS MBA on-line CV database.
Option 4: Recruitment Fairs
CDC will host a recruitment fair on the Shanghai campus in January 2008. Based on recruitment needs, CDC can also host recruitment fairs in Beijing and Shenzhen. Companies are welcome to participate in the recruitment fairs and meet with the CEIBS MBA graduating students. Detailed schedules will be confirmed later this year.
How to become a Sponsor
What Is The Recruitment Process at CEIBS
- Recruiters release the job openings to graduates through CDC and order MBA2007 hard copy CV book at the beginning of August or ask for password to MBA2007 on-line CV database.
- Interested graduates apply for "closed" interview slots through CDC.
- Recruiters select candidates to fill the "closed" interview slots and ask for the candidate's confirmation through CDC.
- Graduates not selected for the "closed" interview slots submit their bids for "open" slots to CDC.
- CDC informs the recruiters of the list of winners in bidding for the "open" slots.
- Recruiters conduct interviews and send offer letters to graduates finally selected.
- Graduates accept or decline the offer and inform CDC.
Recruiters may also bypass the first two steps to select candidates directly from the CEIBS CV book or on-line CV database. CEIBS policy requires that companies recruiting through CDC make at least one third of their interview slots open to bidding by graduates. Since each graduate has limited opportunities to bid, only those with strong motivation will bid for the interview opportunity.
Guidelines and Tips For Recruiters
1. Channel Recruitment Activity through CDC
We strongly recommend each company conducts all recruitment activity through CDC, as we may have additional information to assist you through the recruiting process.
When you send an offer letter to a graduate, please send a copy of it to CDC. If you receive an accepted offer letter signed by the graduate, also send a copy of it to CDC as soon as possible. Where appropriate, CDC will cease providing further interview opportunities to the graduate and inform other companies that the graduate is no longer available.
2. Cancellation/Change of Interview Schedules
Please notify the candidate of any cancellation/change of the interview appointment by phone or in writing as soon as possible.
3. Do Not Make an Open-ended Offer
When drafting an offer letter, please specify the deadline date for accepting the offer.
4. Maintain A Shortlist of Candidates in case your preferred candidate is unavailable.
If you would like to recruit a CEIBS MBA graduate, A CDC Consultant will be assigned to you to assist you with your recruiting effort.
