Professor Kersten is Associate Professor of International Economics and Politics (MBA study) at University of Hamburg since 2002. During 2005-2007, he was Visiting Professor at the School of Economics, Nankai University. Ever since 2007, he has been Visiting Professor at Beijing Business Science and Technology College. He is also Advisory Professor in several insurances companies affiliated to the Ministry of Finance. His research interests include corporate risk management, international finance, credit + debit management, and transnational sales and marketing of financial services.
Academic Achievements:
Professor Kersten gave more than 280 speeches, lectures in domestic and international conferences, and published numerous articles about risk management, financing risk and relationship between China and Germany at various Chinese Universities and cities in China.
Corporate Experience:
Professor Kersten has more than 30 years of management experience in the financial service field. He was member of Management Committee of Hermes AG, Hamburg for over 15 years, and was ever CSO of Euler Hermes S.A., (Paris) for 8 years. He was former CEO of Hermes AG, (Tianjin) China, Director of Hermes + Euler Credit Services (Japan) Ltd, Chairman of Hermes Credit Underwriters (Hong Kong) Ltd., and Director of Euler+ Hermes Risk Services (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.
