Through advertising, application and preparation for almost two weeks, this year’s CEIBS tennis open tournament collects some 30 current students and alumni to contend three champions: Men’s single, Men’s double and Mixed double match. According to the strict and compact schedule, the match among the first group of men’s single game starts the prologue of this tournament at 25th, Nov, a rarely sunny Sunday morning when Shanghai almost comes to its winter.

15 players are divided into four groups which progress internal circle-match first to bring 8 players for the next elimination march at 1st Dec. As the two holders of this match, the members of MBA student tennis club and those of alumni tennis club compete intensely of which MBA students, especially international students take advantages from their powerful serving and active running while members of alumni club own more experience and stable state. Finally, Marius from MBA students club beats various rivals to bring the champion of men’s single match when Shen Jiang of alumni club holds the runner-up. At the same time, Shen Jiang and his partner, Chen Kai holds the champion of men’s double match while Hu Yonglu and Wu Zhuqing from alumni club acquire the first of Mixed match.

The CEIBS alumni tennis club is one of the earliest sport clubs. It was founded by a group of tennis players in March 2004. We do hope more members can join our club at 2008 to have fun and develop friendship.
