In the eve of year 2004, the first CEIBS Alumni Association, overseas chapter was established in Toronto, Canada. About 15 alumni of CEIBS and CEMI attended the opening ceremony and had a happy gathering time.

The opening ceremony started with the announcement of the Toronto Chapter establishment by Zhu Bing, a CEMI graduate. Later on, all participating alumni introduced themselves to each other.

Representative from Alumni Relations Office read the congratulation letters from Prof. Zhang Guohua, CEIBS vice dean and Mr. Zhang Jian, head of Wuxi Chapter. Mr. Zhu Bing was elected head of the Toronto Chapter. All participating alumni and their families in Toronto took CEIBS "family picture"together. Many alumni expressed their appreciation of the establishment of Toronto Chapter, calling it "home" for CEIBS/CEMI graduates in the country they reside. As 'people-oriented' being one of CEIBS' key values, the school takes all possible chances in caring its graduates no matter where they are.

Since late 90's of last century, some of CEIBS Alumni have started immigration to Canada, and through their efforts and talents, almost all of them have setup very solid foundation in Canada and achieved great successes in both career and life. Up today, there are almost 20 CEIBS alumni in Toronto, the economical capital of Canada.
